How It Works:
In order to use the app, users will create a profile that includes their vehicle make and model, as well as identifying their respective payment details. After setting up all the necessary information, you will then be redirected to the apps main page where you will be able to navigate through a variety of sections and utilize the apps different features.
You are given the opportunity to list your available parking space within the app. Members who have already secured a spot prior to opening the app can take the role of LISTER and put the space up on the list for fellow SEEKERS to hopefully take or in this case, Swap.
The listing also allows you to take the role of a SEEKER in which you are able to book an available parking space within the list.
Each listing has all the details you need to determine if its ideal for what youre looking for as a Seeker. It contains the address where the parking space is located, the Listers name, the type vehicle currently occupying the parking spot, and the schedule of the spaces availability. The list also contains a note feature so as to make it easier for Seekers to understand the listing in detail.
You will also be able to tag your most visited areas as a FAVORITE on the app. This feature allows you to be notified if a “SEEKER” has put in a request that you are able to accommodate.
As Swappers, we compensate one another within the Swap-A-Park community by securing a listing. Through a detailed map of street parking availability (free and metered), a LISTER is able to share their exact time of departure with a “SEEKER” looking for listings within their desired area. A SEEKER can now filter through available street parking listings (posted by their fellow SWAPPER) and choose from listings and schedules that work in their favor.
Should no listings exist in your specific area, you can also put up a request for where you are seeking and anyone that tagged your requested location as a FAVORITE will get a notification that someone is currently seeking in the area.
Swap-A-Park Membership:
Annual membership enrollment, while not required to utilize the service, is available for those looking to earn higher rebates at lower SWAP costs. The cost of membership is $20 and will be billed on the anniversary date of the initial enrollment to the payment method on file.
